FEET OF CLAY

A SIP OF PARADISE

PET BUDDIES

This community outreach program seeks to increase the overall health and well-being of pets in underserved communities.  They work hard to build trusting relationships and establish an ongoing positive presence in the communities they help. Some of their services and goals include:

  • Improving a pet's overall health and wellness through education and resources

  • Preventing pet homelessness by providing free spay/neuter & pet food assistance

  • Lessening the number of pets that enter shelters

  • Targeting communities and pets that need help the most and breaking down barriers and cultivating relationships in areas where poverty is high & resources are limited

A Sip of Paradise Garden provides horticultural therapy, employment resources, and health and wellness programs for bartenders and the greater hospitality community to recharge their minds, bodies and spirits. They envision a community of hospitality professionals that will maintain economic independence and access to sustainable food sources to help transform their wellness and improve their quality of life. Some goals include improving the mental and physical health of members, stabilizing and empowering members and their families through growth and development, and to strengthen the hospitality community through outdoor gardening and beautification for the betterment of the Atlanta area.

Their mission is to provide survivors of domestic violence with safe shelter and resources to ensure a successful transition to a life free of violence. As part of the mission to help women feel empowered to build a better future for themselves, they provide assistance in the following ways:

  • Housing - covering the cost of an emergency hotel, providing long-term temporary housing, and utility bill assistance

  • Essentials - Food, clothing, and hygiene supplies for women and their children

  • Mental and Professional - counseling, life coaching, education, parenting classes, job placement assistance, resume building, interview skills

  • Childcare - Assistance with securing affordable and safe childcare
